The day my son was born we decided we were going to plant a pumpkin patch for him to grow so that on his birthday he would have all the pumpkins his heart desires ! We harvest 8 so far but I only took a snap shot of four ! We have four different varieties and two gourmet gourds for top tier pies :pie: :jack_o_lantern: I’m just so proud and this is the cutest tradition for our spooky little one

How fun!! I love this tradition! I actually have 2 pumpkins that we bought from the store last October that still haven’t rotted. Genetically modified I guess??? It’s so crazy they’re still whole

Omg THANKYOU!! :face_with_peeking_eye: our jsckolaterns were actually a pumpkin we smashed in the garden last year haha and it just took off! The rest we planted !! I have been trying this pink French pumpkin for three years now and we finally got it to grow hahah we need to make a sign tho that says “Blazes Pumpkin Patch :jack_o_lantern:” so he always knows it’s his

Oh my step dad’s parents live in Chicago and have the biggest farm!! They grow the best pumpkins

No because that’s exactly how we got our jack o layered it was a pumpkin that made it to the spring and we just smashed it in our garden and BOOM :collision:

Oh my gosh no way HOW FUNNN!! don’t have any cool pics I love a good farm

Hahaha! That’s perfect! I love when I get free plants like that. Ours actually did start a few new pumpkin plants. They just didn’t survive the summer heat. I should have dug them up and moved them

Oh I love when I get volunteers it’s so great same with our acorn squash we planted some two years ago and we get a couple every summer just from that plant it’s wild

It’s okay we have a nasty heat here as well !! Giving them nutrients can help a lot but we still lose some because the heat is brutal here

Right now in The season pumpkins need potassium!! If you can give them some that would help a lot

That’s so cool! Such a great way to garden. Currently, my starawberries and aloe Vera plants are giving me new babies

That is soooo awesome!! I miss it sometimes.

It just seemed so appropriate for our October baby!!!

We planted a pumpkin for my Halloween baby’s first birthday too :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: we haven’t grown them since but I want to do it again next year because she is olde enough that she would love it.
