Motherhood is filled with the most enthralling moments.. watching them fall asleep on our chest, hearing the little sounds they make while nursing, celebrating their first word, and even witnessing their first fall. It’s never easy, but somehow it feels like time stops and your heart drops before they get back up again. Then there are the little moments that make you smile, like the first time they learn how to give kisses and want to do it over and over again because they like the sound of kisses, hearing them laugh so hard they can’t catch their breath, or watching them hear their own little farts and decide whether to laugh or look completely startled. Watching them discover the world while we discover them is one of motherhood’s greatest gifts. These are the moments we quietly collect, the ones that become the memories we carry in our hearts forever.
