Everyday life with my babies is full and nonstop, but so meaningful. My youngest just turned 10 months, and I’m always with them, my 4 year old son and my 3 year old daughter. My mornings start early with pumping, then preparing breakfast for everyone. I spend time teaching my son math and reading, while doing little learning activities with his sister too. I feel so proud seeing how much he’s learned. He can already read and do addition and subtraction, and has gone through two sets of Bob Books.
We also do art and music. I play guitar or ukulele for fun, and in between learning, we play or I let them play on their own so I can have a little time for myself, like scrolling through social media or messaging my family back in the Philippines or editing pics and vids for fun. My husband leaves at 6am and often comes home late, sometimes around 9pm, so most days it’s just me managing everything. It can be exhausting, but hey, we’re hanging in there…
Wow, that’s a full day every single day! You’re seriously doing it all—teaching, caring, creating, and still finding little moments for yourself. It’s a lot, but it sounds so meaningful too. You’re doing amazing

You super mom!!! you are doing it all!! Sounds amazing your babies sound so smart I don’t think my 4year old god son can do math like that yet or maybe a little bit but he’s super smart and it’s amazing to watch them grow and learn and be creative!
Also I need to know what bobs books are?!! Should I get some ? I want a smart baby
Thank you! And you’re funny BOB Books are simple reading books for kids ages 3-9. They’re a book series, and each set usually comes with about 12 small books.The stories use easy words so kids can practice reading little by little.
You sound like an amazing mom! You are doing such a great job educating them. I plan to homeschool, so I’ll have to check out these bob books. I’m always looking for learning opportunities for my daughter. It’s hard to know where to start sometimes being a first time mom. My daughter is 15 months old, and our daily lessons consist of a chunky block sea animal puzzle, shape sorter, piano, and a book. We practice saying words. She has about 20 stuffed animals that she will bring to me as I ask for them by name. That’s pretty much it. I wish I knew what else I could be teaching my daughter. I’m just making things up as I go along.
That sounds like such a sweet routine, you’re already doing an amazing job with her. I love piano too, even though I don’t know how to play, haha. And yes, music really helps with learning! I believe music makes kids smarter I definitely recommend Bob Books, they’ve been great for my kids and they enjoy them. Homeschooling can feel like a lot at first, but you’ll get the hang of it over time. But what you’re doing now is already so good for her age. And thank you! We’re all just doing our best as moms
That’s good to know! I appreciate you saying that. I often wonder if I am teaching her enough. She loves music. I’ve picked up quite a few kids songs from watching YouTube with her, so now I keep the tv off more since I can sing the songs for her. For the longest time I couldn’t figure out what to do with her all day long. I’m so excited to homeschool her. It does seem a bit overwhelming. I think it will get easier once I can purchase a curriculum that coordinates with her age. They don’t make much for one year olds
That’s true they don’t make much for one year olds, and that’s okay, you’re not behind at all. You’ve got plenty of time ahead. TK (Transitional Kindergarten) usually starts around age 4 (at least where we are), then Kindergarten after that.
It sounds like you’re already doing so much, singing to her, engaging with her, and being present. At this age, that is the learning. Music, talking, playing, and just exploring the world together goes a long way.
I think they start pre-k(what TK is called where I live) at 4 years old here too. That’s a good amount of time to be creative with what to teach her. From what I’ve read, at 2 years old she will be able to understand a lot more, and then we can really have fun with more of a variety. I can’t wait until she’s enjoys things like the playground, zoo, aquarium, etc. It will be fun to join a homeschool group and to involve her in extracurricular activities. I’m going to enroll her in karate and gymnastics when she is 2.
That’s awesome, mama! Yes, that’s about the same here TK/pre-K starts around 4, so you’ve got plenty of time to just be creative and enjoy this stage. And yes at 2, they’re usually super excited but also a little overwhelmed from all the stimulation… it’s the cutest mix! Like kids version of FOMO haha.
We started doing things like the zoo and aquarium around age 2, and they loved it! specially feeding the fish and even simple pretend play like “fishing” both at the aquarium and at home. It’s such a fun age! My eldest is a bit shy, but my second loves attention, so it’s always entertaining . I love that you’re thinking of karate and gymnastics too! I actually did taekwondo back in the Philippines, and my husband wants our girls to learn self-defense as well, so we’re looking into karate too!
That sounds like so much fun!! I can’t wait to do all the fun stuff. It’s so interesting when siblings are complete opposites like that. I think my daughter is going to be the more outgoing type. She’s been waving at other babies and kids when we go out since 10 months old when we go out! I’m so happy to be a mother. It gives me so much purpose.

I definitely recommend Bob Books, they’ve been great for my kids and they enjoy them. Homeschooling can feel like a lot at first, but you’ll get the hang of it over time. But what you’re doing now is already so good for her age. And thank you! We’re all just doing our best as moms
