Planning to use my hand pump tomorrow to see if any milk/colostrum comes out, I’ll be getting induced Sunday. I want to see if it’ll bring on some contractions. And of course to bring the colostrum with me if any comes out. I don’t think I will hand express correctly therefore I’m using the pump lol. Anyone had experiences with either hand expressing or hand pumping to get labor going? Attached a picture of the one I’ll be using cozysupportlist

I was considering getting a hand pump (not which one yet) as well since I still feel ‘full’ sometimes when I am done pumping. I hope this works well!
best of luck momma. I’m so glad they can do an induction on Sundays, my hospital doesn’t do those on Saturdays or Sundays. Just during the week. So that’s a nice perk! very excited and happy for you. You and I were talking about Chuck e cheese pizza right? Make sure someone brings for you!!

I loved hand expressing in the shower. 
then I would use my spectra pump out of the shower. But I know a lot of mamas who used the medela hand pump.

I just feel like I’m either doing it wrong or just don’t have any milk lol idk. I have my hospital grade spectra pump and a medela but it’s also the hospital grade plus my A1s.

You’re not! Just stay consistent and gently massage. When I did it I didn’t get a lot either. I probably got around 2ml MAX most of the time 1ml or even less. It’s normal for moms to have a different amount.

You chose a good hand pump. That’s the one I have, and it’s great. Hopefully you’ll will be able to get labor started with it! I pray that you have a safe and healthy delivery! I’m so excited for you!!!

did you get a nursing kit the engorgement was real a couple days after birth!!! Hahahah at least for me a cool compress goes along way

Yes I believe I have the birthing kit or either most items separately, like the cooler pads, heating pad, massager…
