Let me introduce myself. My story with Momcozy is…

My name is Mel and I’m currently 8 months pregnant! Just married in December and found out we were expecting in February, happy as can be. I am in the geriatric range of pregnancy with my first child and feeling all the emotions. It’s fun to be scared, excited, and full of love for a brand new experience and chapter of my families life together.

My hobbies are vast in range, when im not catching up on a good book (recent buy is The song of Achilles), I am crafting in some sort of way. I have a Cricut that I put to good use, I dabble in knitting/crochet, wreath making, urban gardening, puzzles, painting. As long as its cute and I will use it, I will make it:)

My interests are learning everything I can about interesting topics, for right now it’s learning what I can to prepare myself as best as I can to be a mother. I know there is no perfecting the method but there is no shame in trying to learn certain things from the advice of others who have been there before me. So mommy books, forums, and magazines have been my most recent interest.

Passionate about cooking! I love to cook different dishes from all over the world and make a few of my own fusions when I can. Not everything is a winner but experimenting in the kitchen is so much fun, especially when you get a prize dish you want to make again and again. My husband definitely doesn’t mind, unless there are too many veggies! haha

What makes me feel like myself would probably be a combination of all these things combined with the addition of exploration. Exploring new places, new hobbies, new interests, new recipes its the thrill of life to do something new! I hope being a mom is one of those things that are newly included into that recipe of life! I know I won’t be able to consume as much time doing the things I love as much but none of that matters compared to enjoying a wonderful product of life me and my husband as one, teaching and praying over our new bundle of joy<3

I discovered Momcozy from looking for a top notch breast pump and having several recommendations here from word of mouth and google. My sisters friends who all have children were gushing over the pumps you offer and telling me they were a big help when going back to work and having a back up supply. I was kind of panicking since I’m getting close. Recently at a get together telling the girls how I was putting it off because of lack of information and they pointed me in Momcozy’s direction, taking a lot of pressure off me!

Mom and more to me at this point so early means there is more to me than being a mom, its all the things put together that make me me and Mom is one of those descriptions I should be proud of. It means I’ll never stop working, learning, and building on that part of my life because its one of the things about me I’m proud of and makes up a big part of me.

Thank you for any tips or suggestions from other moms out there<3 Keep up the good work, you are more than a mom you are a hero, business woman, backbone. Ive always said my entire life being a mom is a prestigious title, im proud of them!

Congratulations on your baby and wishing you a safe delivery :folded_hands:

I did notice that we do share a lot of similar interest. I also like to cook, even though I’m not the best I do try to learn as much as I can. I also like to explore new places, I especially love road trips :sport_utility_vehicle:

This community is really great because whenever you do have a question everyone is always so willing to help you. Glad you are part of it! :innocent:

Welcome to the community! I really admire your cooking skills. I’m not great at cooking myself, but I’m a huge fan of Chinese cuisine. Wherever I go, I always look for Chinese restaurants. If I could make tasty Chinese dishes at home, I wouldn’t spend so much eating out lollll

Welcome and congrats on the wedding and soon to be baby. I too was considered a geriatric pregnancy. I was 37 when I had my daughter. I am not a fan of that title.

I also crochet when I have the time.
