Night time pumping

Are you guys waking up at night? It’s so hard for me I normally finish my last pump at 1:30ishh am then it’s hard to sleep and trying to get myself up 3-4 hours later is so hard! How are you guys doing it? Sometime I push it to 5hrs but I’m scared it’s gona start to decrease my supply :sob:

So sweet! I saw a decrease in my supply when my baby slept through the night for a week but she is back to waking up often and it has increased again.

I set an alarm and to be honest I had a hard time with it too! Sometimes I would drink coffee late at night just to manage and it would mess me up more but eventually I got use to it and it just became part of life you know! What really helped me as cheesy as it may sound is coming here onto momcozy forums and just chatting with other moms in similar situations that connection truly got me through

I’m glad it came back up for you! I hope that happens to me too if it goes down :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

I hope I start getting use to it! And I wish I would be the same but looking at any screen my phone or the tv gets me sooo sleepy and my eyes sooo heavy :weary_face::weary_face:

I set my phone across my room with my alarm fully up so I have to get out of bed to pump…. But I’d be lying if I said there isn’t some nights I lay right back down :rofl:

Honestly I’m terrible at it! I’m pumping RN and my last session was at like… 9? :face_with_peeking_eye: Definitely not ideal. But my baby has been sleeping since 11 or so and I just really wanted that sleep!:sweat_smile: Heaven knows she won’t give it to me like this again haha! I think you shouldn’t worry too much. After all, sleep helps your supply. I was told by an IBCLC that 6 hours is the threshold (again I’m terrible today). So if you need to go 6 hours to have a decent sleep between sessions at night, do!

The beginning is rough :sob::sob::sob:

Omg I need to try this!!! Great idea! Thank you !!

I know we just need that rest :weary_face: and good to know I didn’t know that I thought 4hrs was pushing it :woman_shrugging:t2:

I saw a decrease in supply when we transitioned to his own room. We co slept before and he had it on tap.

Co sleeping works soooooo good for us! It’s so much easier, I hope your ok with the decrease tho as long as it’s working for you guys is what matters :heart_hands:t2::heart_hands:t2:

When my baby started sleeping through the night, maybe around 10-12 weeks, so did I. Last pump around 10p-11p and I usually wake up on my own around 5a but I’m not setting any alarms :rofl::woozy_face: thankfully I think my supply is established enough and hasn’t decrease when I go 7-8 hours without a pump :raising_hands:t3:

I set alarms. It’s tough for sure, I think I just got used to it to be honest.

We are over a year so it is what it is. I’ll continue to nurse until he doesn’t want to
