There’s something so sweet about watching siblings grow into their relationship. these are moments I want to remember forever.
When we first brought our baby girl home, my 1 year old was completely unbothered. He barely looked at her & acted like nothing had changed. Even now, I don’t think he fully understands she’s his sister the way he does with his big brother.
Lately, though, I think it’s starting to click that she’s here to stay. If I pick her up, suddenly he wants to be held. If I’m feeding her, he wants a snack too. We’re definitely seeing a little bit of toddler jealousy.
But my favorite part? Every single time she cries, he’s the first one to check on her. He’ll walk right over to see what’s wrong & it melts my heart every time. It’s one of those little moments that’s funny, tender & such a beautiful reminder that their bond is quietly growing, even if they don’t fully understand it yet.
This is so sweet. My oldest has surprised me too. She definitely has moments where she wants extra attention, but she’s also the first to check on her baby sister when she cries. Watching their relationship grow has been one of my favorite parts of becoming a mom of two. Those little moments really do make it all worth it.
I have three brothers and I’m the only girl. They’re so protective over me! My girl has two brothers so I definitely hope they’re the same I love that she has built in body guards
Haha! Aw I love that you want more after your first one who’s not even here yet I’m so glad I changed my mind on having more kids it’s truly so special to witness bonding
My 6 year old is the biggest help, she loves her little sister, Everytime she cries she goes running to give her her oaci or to talk to her and try to make her smile, it melts my
