What is the hardest thing about breastfeeding in general? Also what’s the most difficult thing about pumping with the Air 1s and what’s the best thing about pumping? I’m so scared of being engorged ( I think that’s what you call it). Also a PD wishlist item of mine.

Hardest thing about pumping is you have to be consistent even in your hardest day, exhausting and overwhelmed daysss.. Pumping with the Air1 no difficulties for me unless you have to get used to it. Some people needs time, some don’t. It’s a bit louder for me too compare to my m5 and m6. Yes, engorgement can be painful. If pump can’t help you need to express with your hands. And or massage it.

The first few days and weeks is really hard and painful but if you push through that it gets easier and is worth it. Bring some nipple cream in your hospital bag because you will need it and will use it!
Put the baby to the breast as often as possible those first few days/weeks to help establish your supply, if you feel engorged hand express or manually pump for some relief. They will have a lactation consultant come by while your are in the hospital to help you mine was really helpful. Hardest thing about pumping in general is helping if you don’t feel like it and keeping a solid schedule
Biggest challenge of the air one is you need to make sure your diaphragm and your cups are sealed tightly
Best thing about the air one is the charging case. It is an unmatched

Hardest thing about pumping was being able to! My son wanted me to hold him 24/7 and I could hardly get a pump in but the Air1 really helped me out with that!!!
Best part of pumping with the air1 is it’s easy for pumping on the go especially in public or on a roadtrip or if your like me while holding the baby

The hardest thing about breastfeeding is the first 2-3 weeks. It will be painful because you’re engorged. Just go through it, and it will stop hurting after a couple weeks. Within a month or so, there will be times you don’t even feel them nursing! One crazy thing that kept happening to me when I was engorged is that when I slept on my back, I would wake up and panic thinking I fell asleep with my baby on my chest! I’ve always been small chested, and my boobs were so heavy! 
The hardest thing about pumping for me is to pump at the same times every day. If you don’t, you tend to get milk duct clogs….which are really painful and can lead to an infection called mastitis. I get milk duct clogs every so often when my daughter drastically changes her nursing habits due to teething. I med to remember to pump when she’s not feeding as often as usual

Ok I will make sure to put the nipple cream in my hospital bag I do have some. And yes I was also told about the lactation consultant after giving birth. I will def be coming here with more questions when baby comes. Thank you so much for sharing.

It’s hard to pump in hold baby if your are tied ti a wall pump yes! and some are super bulky the air1 is slim so I found it doable to hold baby and pump! Not my favorite thing to do but it’s definitely doable and I ended up doing it all the time so I got use to it
