My breastfeeding journey didn’t start out easy, my partner had to go back to work immediately thanks to a government shut down and my beautiful Velcro baby would not let me put him down LONG enough to stayed tied to a pump, I almost gave up I was so overwhelmed I really didn’t know how anyone could possibly pump I had no childcare help I was just lost but my wonderful partner bought me an Air1 and that truly saved my whole journey especially since I was trying to build my supply. It was really hard to navigate by myself I was and still am doing this mostly alone but we did it and are still going strong 9 months later!! Sometimes you just need a wearable and that’s okay even if you get side eyed
Lollll, you just reminded me of when we hiked the Mist Trail.
People were looking at me like I was a weirdo because I was only pumping on my left side. It was so obvious how asymmetrical I looked!
Kudos for making it to 9 months!
I will always encourage a good pump and hike!!! I am finally getting desensitized to the looks hahahahha being outdoors and pumping is an experience I hope everyone to have someday
I can understand how hard it is when you doing everything mostly by yourself. Pumping used to be a huge challenge for me too! Then I figured out I could nurse and pump at the same time. It takes a little longer to pump, but my daughter’s happy cause she at least gets a boob. That’s all she ever wants half the time is boob! It’s so great that your husband bought you the air 1!
I tried that ! unfortunately my son only sleeps when I nurse him so the sound of the pump would ruin his naps so I had to stop that’s
So disheartening!!! ![]()
But I am over the moon it worked for you that’s AMAZING
This!! with my first journey I though Spectra’s were the only pumps out there! I remember crying because I mentally couldn’t do it when it came to being attached to the wall. That’s when I found out about collection cups and the baby Buddha- that made pumping soo much easier but I hated going out and about with the tubes poking out. Once I learned about wearables I havnt turned back! They are truly a blessing!
Well darn! I guess that won’t work then
Seriously this part!!! I couldn’t do it and to be honest i didn’t even know about these pumps my partner found them , he’s such an MVP
I freaking wish!!! I’ll try to do it when I know he’s not going to nap!!! It’s hard telling sometimes tho I go by time but that changes a lot
I will say nap time started becoming a lot more predictable once my daughter turned a year old. Hopefully this will be the case for you too!
It is very overwhelming especially when you have to do it alone sometimes. I’m glad the pump was and to help you
What a wonderful gift and story !!![]()

I really realllyyyy hope so as well!!! We are too far away from 1 year!! So we will see wow saying that out loud I can’t believe how fast time has flown
Me too!! I didn’t even realize how hard it was going to be!!! I knew it would be hard but not be having a mental breakdown on the floor crying hard ![]()
