I am 21 weeks pregnant and I have a 18 month old. How hard will it be exclusively pumping with a newborn and an almost 2 year old? I am a little nervous and scared. If you have any advise thank you in advance.
I have 2 kids. When my youngest was born my oldest was 3.5 year old. Honestly wearables would be your life saver as well as a bottle washer. I tend to pump on the go. While I’m helping my son in the bathroom, getting breakfast going. I like that I can still do things while pumping. I hope this helps.
First, a huge welcome to the community! It is completely normal to feel nervous, managing a newborn and a toddler while exclusively pumping takes serious coordination. I Take it one day at a time, lean on your tools, and give yourself plenty of grace. ![]()

Like Angle said one day at a time. I have a toddler and a baby. Don’t stress too much. Most important thing is to take care of yourself. If you are healthy, everything will go much more smoother.
Welcome to the community! A wearable pump is going to be your best friend! It will feel a little overwhelming at first but you will get into a routine and it will get easier! I have a 6year old 3 year old and a 4 month old and it was hard at first but once we figured out a routine it got so much easier! Take it one day at a time and focus on small goals and take those as wins
You’ve got this momma!
Welcome to the community!!! And thank you for reaching out and asking this question because I’ve always wondered the same thing ! The comments here are great and I’m writing this down for future reference;)
Hi!! Welcome to the group! That is such an excellent question. I’d definitely get the wearable pumps like the other girls are suggesting. Being hands free and being able to move around is a total game changer! Is your 2 year old still nursing?
