One thing I hope this Support List doesn’t leave out is Breastfeeding journeys can look so different for every momma! you could exclusively nurse, exclusively pump, or do a combo of pumping and nursing, even nurse or pump and supplement with formula, feeding your baby is the main goal no matter how that looks! Just because your journey doesn’t turn out how you thought it would doesn’t mean that you failed. Its ok to change your plan because your worth as a mom is not measured by how you feed your baby, there is no “right” way it’s just about what works best for you and your baby. You’re doing a great job!
You’re doing a great job too momma ![]()

There is so many different roads in this journey and they all lead to the same place a happy fed baby
Whichever path you take isn’t the wrong one
I had two differ breastfeeding journeys with both my babies. And probably will have a completely different experience with the next baby I have
I have am on my 3rd journey now and they have all Been so different
thank you
Exactly I hope more moms realize this and don’t put so much pressure on themselves
This is such an important message and absolutely deserves to be on the Support List. Every feeding journey is different, and choosing what works best for you and your baby is not giving up—it is caring for both of you. Nursing, pumping, combination feeding, and formula feeding are all valid ways to nourish your baby. Your worth as a mother is never measured by how you feed your baby. Thank you for reminding moms that flexibility is strength and that they are doing a great job.
. I completely agree with this. My own feeding journey taught me that things do not always go exactly as planned, and that adapting does not mean failing. Sometimes we need to try different options, listen to our babies, and take care of ourselves too. What matters most is that our babies are loved, fed, and cared for. Every mother deserves support, not judgment. ![]()
Thank you so much this is so important!
All three of my kiddos have been fed different as well and the older kiddos you couldn’t even tell which one was breastfeed and which had formula. They both just try to eat mud and old Cheerios they hid somewhere that I didn’t see!! ![]()

Absolutely! I wish someone had told me this off the bat like at the hospital. Initially I was thinking I was failing because my babies weren’t latching but it didn’t even occur to me that our journey could be me pumping and feeding them breastmilk AND formula. Sounds silly to admit this now but I wanted to be ALL in to nurse because I thought that was the ideal way. Not so! We have to pivot sometimes from the original plan or intention to what fits us best
You said this beautifully ![]()
My first two I supplemented with formula. My first breastfeeding journey I had a really hard time with having to give my baby formula because of judgement from others trying to make me feel less than because I wasn’t producing enough milk. I realized that fed was best and that’s all that matters others opinions didn’t define my worth as a momma
Yes! I wish mommas had more education on this because it can look so different for every baby and every momma and they need support to help figure out what works best for them.
You are doing amazing too!
Thank you!
