🤱🏻 Breastfeeding/Pumping Mamas 🍼

My husbands family is always asking why are you doing that you don’t want to warm it up and I said no I want them to like it cold and room temp so it’s not such a hard transition later and I feel like it helps when it’s hot out. I have never used a bottle warmer.

I got a cheap bottle warmer from Walmart. It takes longer than a bowl of hot water! Lol

We are at 12 months and my milk has taken quite a dip. My goal is 2 years. He started weaning but now wants the breast more. I’m currently trying to get my supply up. We give him formula especially at night to help him sleep

Original goal was to try and then it was to go for six months and then it was to make it to a year. My daughter ended up being intolerance dairy so I wanted her to have breastmilk until she was 2. She ended up breast-feeding until she was 22 months old and then I had a stash to keep her through until she was two. Since my daughter had breast milk until 2 , that is now my goal with my son. I’ll probably try weaning around a year and a half, and then having them pumped for him. You have some amazing !!! Keep rocking it momma

2 years is a great goal! It has to be so frustrating your milk supply dipped! But don’t worry, you can get your milk supply back up. It can take a couple weeks to notice a difference. There’s two ways I know to increase it. Either have your baby nurse more frequently, even if it’s only a couple minutes at a time. Or there’s power pumping. I’ve had dips in my supply too when my daughter is teething, so I know how it is! Nothing wrong with using formula, I always have some in hand just in case myself!

2 years is a good goal! You’re doing such an amazing job with them! I’m sorry to hear your daughter has a dairy intolerance. I know that must make meal planning difficult when you’re used to using dairy to cook with. I hope your son doesn’t have that problem. It’s so nice to see a lot of mamas on here are going beyond 1 year. I don’t feel so alone.
