#MyBreastfeedingStory started this year as a first time, mom to twin babies. My babies were born prematurely, and they were also in the Nicu so they were not latching early on. I tried to introduce the breast to them, but it was so stressful to do that, pump, and also supplement with formula. Because of these factors, I have continued to exclusively pump and supplement with formula since I don’t produce enough milk to meet both of my babies needs.

Managing triple feeding (nursing, pumping, and formula) is so overwhelming, especially in the early days. Choosing what protects your peace and keeps your babies fed is always the right call. You’re doing fantastic! ![]()

I’ve heard that is pretty common with twins. You are doing a great job providing for them! You can always try to get them to latch later on when things calm down a bit. That is a lot to take on in the beginning.
