Breastfeeding Story

This is my second journey and while it’s much easier than my first so far, it’s still having its own challenges. As an oversupplier I’m dealing with adjusting my pumps for dumping milk, countless bags and storage containers, dishes never end, clogged ducts constantly, baby choking on milk and being gassy, and being monitored for health issues due to my supply.
I feel blessed to be able to feed my kid and help those in my community by supplying milk, and donating when I can.

Welcome to the community mama! People don’t always realize that having an oversupply comes with its own unique set of tough challenges, the endless dish pile and clogged ducts are no joke! It’s so incredible of you to donate and support other families despite all the hard work it takes. Blessings mama :beating_heart:

Welcome to the community!

I could only imagine the challenges you are facing from having an oversupply. Having an oversupply definitely makes things a bit more overwhelming but congratulations on being able to help feed another baby!

Hi! Welcome to the Momcozy community! We’re happy you’re here!

It’s hard being an oversupplier. I dealt with that in the beginning. One thing that helped me was to pump less often. I was pumping to have a freezer stash, and I felt like I needed to build it as quickly as possible. I primarily nursed my baby. I went into this knowing nothing. I realized that if you just collect a couple ounces a day even and put it in the fridge to collect a few days worth and then put it in a freezer bag, you don’t have to pump as much and you still get your freezer stash. So if that is your situation too, maybe this could help you too
