Carrying a heavy baby

Sometimes I wish I was stronger… I know I’m gaining strength everyday as my baby grows but sometimes it feels like it’s not enough. My arms get tired so quickly and sometimes I just wish I had another set of arms to help hold baby. ShareTheLoad

I agree.. my baby liked to be carried a lot. I don’t mind doing that but it’s just very hard.

Right? I love holding my baby but it’s so physically demanding.

I do have a wrap! & I like it! But pumping so often with big spectra flanges hanging out makes wrapping him sometimes an inconvenience. I’d rather try to have him in the pack and play in case he falls asleep.

I love how he’s holding his little foot! How precious!

I know exactly what you mean! It’s like my arms can’t keep up with the weight of this baby! She just keeps getting heavier. I got one of those baby carriers, and they are awesome. I take it literally everywhere with me, even when we leave the house. Sometimes I pray: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” when it gets really rough overnight. I say it over and over like a mantra, and it helps!

Oh man do I relate to this! My girl is 2 months but feels like she weighs 75lbs:joy:. You’ve got this mama. I’ll tell you what my husband said to me in a joking manor of course- take it with a grain of salt, eat some protein and build those muscles!

She keeps getting heavier, and I know I must be getting stronger too but wow it feels like my back is constantly yelling at me. I definitely gotta use my carrier and my wrap more often, before he gets too big for those!

Haha that’s great advice! Get the gains up! Gotta hit the gym just to keep up with the little munchkins.

Most of the Momcozy carriers hold up to 45 pounds, so you should be good for awhile unless you have the newborn specific one. It’s hard to imagine carrying a 45 pound toddler around without one!

Literally I can’t imagine carrying him around at 45 lbs. he’s just a little over 13 lbs now and I’m struggling  I’m in for a rude awakening lol I know it. Then I’m gonna have to use every tool at my disposal.

Dude, my daughter is 25 pounds and she is so heavy!! I tell you what though, my arms have never been in better shape :joy: My legs too from all the up and down picking her up off the floor. Our babies are basically mandatory weight training :joy:

Yesss! How old is she if you don’t mind me asking? I’m trying to do more floor time/Tummytime with my baby boy and it’s so hard since he’s not crawling yet but I know he will eventually always be on the floor!
