I could use an extra set of eyes today. I can’t look away even for two seconds! First my daughter starts off with squatting inside a tiny toy bin and sitting on the edge of it. Don’t ask why I have a picture of her doing this, I’m not proud of it! Then she was crying because she got her thumb caught in the keyboard part of her baby piano…it’s all swollen and she has a little cut on her thumb now , and it really scared me! Next she takes the top of her shape sorter and gets it stuck on her wrist. Then she lays on her stomach on her changing pad I had on the floor and rolls off it onto her back, hitting her head on the hard floor. She’s such a danger to herself today! I can’t take my eyes off her! The only way I’m going to be able to get anything done is to wear her in the baby carrier. This girl!!! I’m about ready to put away all her toys except for the stuffed animals.
This age can literally be so scary. I’m in my head like please just let me put them in a bubble. I really like the soft blocks that are kind of like Legos but soft because that’s at least one less thing that they can step on a trip on.
That is so scary! My son isn’t a toddler yet but he’s wild and just wants to stand up and fall that’s what he finds fun right now over and over i literally play with him on the bed because it’s a soft surface for him to go crazy on I’m going to need to build a padded room
I was just saying to my husband that I wish I could just put her in a bubble! Why is she so determined to hurt herself. I guess that’s just part of the process as they explore what they can and cannot do. I’m going to have to check out the soft blocks
I told my husband we’re going to have to pad the living room! I do the same thing on our bed, and she goes wild when we put her there. She has made it into a game to get as close to the edge as possible and laugh as she hangs her head over the edge.
They are great! We used one for awhile. Until my grandson came over and ripped the straps off it, and my mother-in-law sewed them back on wrong! I just sat next to her on the floor at all times until she got better about catching herself. That’s one thing too is that when they fall and hit their head enough times, they learn to catch themselves.
We are getting to that point which is kinda nice he at least understands his surroundings a little bit better but I think he finds it funny when he falls so that’s a problem. I got too much anxiety for this
They are so fast and the things they can do in a short period of time is scary! My son is a daredevil and it terrifies me he gets into everything I can’t let him out of my sight
Oh no! It’s definitely crazy how quickly these things happen. Not that I haven’t been watching her, but I have to watch even more closely now. Makes it so hard to get things done around here!
I have some pictures that are similar of my toddler, I just take them to show her later of her craziness. I swear my toddler knows she should do things and will grin at us and do them anyway she hurts herself with even an empty water bottle. We can’t take an eye off because she will go afterever single thing in the house and hurt herself with it. She’s definitely my wild baby because my first two would literally just sit still all day.
I guess I don’t feel so bad about the picture then! Honestly, I was just really impressed that she was sitting in there without it tipping over. She’s got some serious balancing skills! I’m thinking gymnastics in the near future!
My daughter tripped and fell on my plastic water bottle the other day and water went everywhere! She didn’t hesitate to start splashing around in the water. If she sees a puddle outside, first thing she does is go over and sit in it!
