One support tip I would add for moms building their feeding routine is to create a dedicated pumping station.
When I first started pumping, I was constantly getting up because I forgot something. Water, snacks, extra pump parts, milk storage bags, or even the TV remote. It made every session feel more stressful than it needed to be.
Having a small pumping station with all of my essentials in one place has made a huge difference. I keep water, snacks, nipple cream, burp cloths, milk storage bags, extra pump parts, wipes, a phone charger, and something to keep me entertained within arm’s reach.
It doesn’t have to be anything fancy. A rolling cart, basket, or small caddy works perfectly. Having everything ready before you sit down makes pumping feel less overwhelming and helps you stay consistent, especially during those middle-of-the-night sessions.
A little preparation goes a long way, and creating a comfortable pumping space is one of those small changes that can make your breastfeeding journey much easier.
