Diaper cream tip

Not all creams are the same! Daily preventative diaper creams are usually <20% zinc oxide or petroleum jelly. If you’ve got a rash you want to go with 20-40% zinc oxide. The more zinc oxide percentage put over dry skin, the better barrier protection (harder to wipe/wash off), and hopefully the faster it should heal up!

THANK YOU!!! Both my kiddos in diapers are having a rash from little rascals wipes right now and it has gotten a bit better but not all the day. Definitely screenshotted this to look for different cream at the store today!

Thank you so much for sharing this summer. I did not even know there was a difference and I will for sure save this for the future. :folded_hands:

Sometimes mixing in some petroleum jelly with the high zinc oxide paste can help if the urine is especially affecting the area! It helps seal in the natural skin moisture and out the bodily fluids! Zinc is kind of like the “medicine” with some “sealant” properties but petroleum can be a stronger sealant if needed. I hope that makes sense!
