One routine that has really helped me is keeping everything consistent after each feeding. Whether it’s bottle feeding or breast feeding it’s always the same.
Having a bottle washer/sterilizer has made this part of my routine SO much easier, especially when I’m doing multiple feeds and pumping sessions throughout the day.
My biggest tip is make your after-feeding routine simple enough that you can actually stick with it. Feed → burp → soothe → clean → store milk → reset everything for the next feed. Having that little routine takes so much mental work out of the day, especially when you’re tired. And don’t be afraid to ask for help! If someone can wash bottles, organize your milk, or simply hold baby while you pump, let them. You’re already doing so much.
It’s the sweetest memory I want to hold onto forever. Their little fingers and nails that don’t know where to go. I’m going to miss her holding onto my chest while feeding
It’s so helpful cleaning right after pumping no matter how tired I am I just do it. Because when I’m ready to pump again it’s clean, dry and ready I DREAD when it’s dirty and engorged and I have to clean it and wait to pump
