Today, I wish it wasn’t so hard to leave the house. I’m a first time mom and my baby is a little over a month old and leaving the house feels like such a chore! I LOVE going out and about but just getting out of the house alone feels impossible sometimes days. I end up packing everything and the kitchen sink in the diaper bag because I can’t turn my “what if” brain off. Then, once we’re out, I’m watching the clock timing the next diaper change, bottle and then keeping her upright 15-20 minutes after a feeding which altogether is a minimum 45 minute process, not to mention finding the right time to pump too that doesn’t always time quite right. I’m tired of missing family events and then hearing about it from family members because some days it just seems so hard to get anywhere and easier to stay in our own space. OneWishADay
It gets easier as they get older… I didn’t leave the house the first 2 months except for doctors appointments. I slowly started venturing out around. 3 months and I still over pack BUT it does get less stressful the more you venture out. Hang in there mama!
I totally get this! I still overpack, and my baby is 15 months old now. It started getting easier for me around 6 months old. We didn’t really go anywhere for the first 3 months because it was cold and flu season. It does suck watching the clock for pumping, feeding and diaper changes though.
It get so much easier! I mean I can only speak on my own experience with my six month old but for me I was in the same boat as you. It just seemed impossible somedays . I will say just because it got easier for me tho I do still back the entire house up with me to go get a burrito 
I feel this! Sometimes It is not worth getting three kids ready and out the door . By the time I get them and all of their stuff together to go somewhere it is time to feed the baby or she needs a diaper change and we live in the country and it is a 45 min drive to town so by the time we get there it’s time to repeat the process again 
it is ALOT of work!!
