Hi! Dino Mama Here

Hi, Angel here.. a 28 year old mama to 3 little dinos. :t_rex::t_rex::t_rex:

Before becoming a mama, I worked as a data analyst. And… I don’t think I ever want to go back. Motherhood completely changed my priorities, but it didn’t take away the things that make me me. First of, I like vibrant colors. Favorite word - Touché  I’ve always been an adventurer at heart. I love karaoke, I love traveling, hiking, camping, getting lost in art, photography, video editing, and digital art. I play musical instruments here and there, I skate for fun. And I’m a foodie through and through… except for eating insects. No matter how adventurous I am, that is one thing I would NOT try. Not even for a million dollars! I’m originally from the Philippines, and I’ve been blessed enough to travel to Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Cambodia. Now that I’m living in California, I’ve started thinking… why not try to visit all 50 states? So far, I’ve explored California, Georgia, and Nevada, and next week we’re taking a road trip through Utah and Arizona. After that, I’ll only have 45 states left! So I guess I have a long way to go… One of my favorite hiking adventure was meeting Apo Whang-Od, the legendary tattoo artist in the Philippines and Vogue’s oldest ever cover model. She gave me my very first tattoo on my birthday, which made that experience even more special. You actually have to hike to reach her, and even after becoming a mom, I still love challenging myself on the trails. Now even better with kids haha. I’ve done strenuous, moderate, and easy hikes before kids, and now we’re doing it with 3 littles. So my husband and I with 2 littles back then we made it to Apo Whang-Od. :flexed_biceps:Also, talking about music before we left the Philippines my husband and I put up a little show for the homeless in the Philippines. Which I thought I’d never done because of how incredibly shy I am. But yea, I played the guitar out of love and made it happen and he sang a song. I can’t find the photo or video..or if there ever was one. I was super nervous back then.. Well going back to adventure, I love pitching a tent under the stars, getting on the road with my family, discovering new places, and capturing those moments through photography, videos, and digital art afterward. Motherhood is a huge part of who I am, but it isn’t the only part of me. I’m still a woman who wants to chase new adventures, get lost on a hiking trail, create something beautiful, taste something new and see where the next road takes us. I think that’s what keeps me grounded and reminds me that I’m still me. :wilted_flower:

PS: Before kids, I thought of doing bungee jumping and skydiving but now that I have kids.. im not so sure. For those people who have come this far reading this. Do you think I should still do it or no?

Amazing mama! I’ve thought about bungy jumping but with kids now I’m too scared. I have a hard time even watching horror movies when I use to love it

Oh my goodness I am so in love with one of these pictures like holy cow. Just so much life.

I also wanted to skydive for four kids and now that I have kids I’m terrified I’m even scared to do national parks that I had on my bucket list now that I’m a mom

Yes it definitely changes the way you think and makes the horror movies more real. My husband’s happy about it. He hates horror movies

Holy cow you’ve done so much! :open_mouth: You sounds so cool!!! And I highly recommend sky diving. I did it once pre baby and it was beautiful. I was strapped to my instructor so I didn’t have to worry about pulling the parachute. I was right above the finger lakes in New York and it was the beginning of fall so the leaves were changing color. It feels like your flying. It’s amazing. It made me want to live. I had a better sense of gratitude towards life once I touched down. If you make a plan to jump be mindful of the weather and make plans that day loosely as the instructors might bump your jump up or push it back depending of the wind or cloud coverage that day.

I definitely will!!! And likewise if you wanna visit Old Sac haha

Haha you and me both!! :joy: Glad we agree on the insects, and crossing off all 50 states is the ultimate dream! We might just bump into each other on the road somewhere. Definitely let’s stay in touch! :growing_heart:

Oh, and thank you :cherry_blossom:

Wow, what a really great adventure that you have been having so far! The tiger picture looks really cool :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: I also have a goal of traveling all 50 states but who knows when I can finish it :joy:

THANK YOU BARBARA!!! :growing_heart:Oh no National Park can wait haha. You could always try starting with the easiest, most laid-back trails first to see how the kids do. Take it one step and one trail at a time! :cactus::cherry_blossom:

Yes, lol! My husband is the exact same way. The only way he’ll watch a scary movie with me is if he’s allowed to make fun of it the whole time. Gotta love the compromises!:rofl:

That sounds so incredible!! skydiving over the Finger Lakes in the fall must have been breathtaking! I will definitely put skydiving on my list for when my kids turn 18 and move out, haha! Still a bit skeptical about bungee jumping, though. Thank you so much for the encouragement and the great tips, I’ll keep them in mind! :growing_heart:

Oh, and thank you. You are cool too having yo have done skydiving already :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Aww, thank you so much! You amazing person!!!:growing_heart: It’s definitely an unforgettable journey! The drive from Manila to her village is pretty crazy on its own before you even start hiking. The hike itself was pretty easy, but doing it with two kids under two was a whole lota experience, we made it, though! haha. Unless you take a helicopter, getting up there is a total adventure!:flexed_biceps:
