How I made it through the first two months of breastfeeding, which were honestly SO hard

In the beginning, breastfeeding felt almost unbearable. Waking up to feed her, being tired all the time… it felt like a never-ending exhaustion.I kept hearing people around me say, “You’re so lucky that you can breastfeed,” but I didn’t feel lucky at all. I felt exhausted, and I didn’t feel any happiness while breastfeeding.

Until she turned 2 months old, and something changed. When I started looking at her while she was attached to my breast, I started seeing how much love, comfort and peace she felt there. And I fell in love with it.Now I’m actually so scared of the moment when it will all stop. It’s crazy to think that something that felt so hard in the beginning became something I’m now so afraid to lose. :white_heart:

Good job mom

Same here, congrats

This is so true and welcome to our community.

I am slowly pumping lesson less and I thought I was gonna be happy about it but it’s actually pretty sad watching my milk production slowly decrease. :sob:

That’s so real because I felt the same WAY

Yes! I’ve been thinking about that recently- how it was so hard in the beginning and caused a lot of stress and anxiety. But now it’s such a big part of the day and our lives that it will be a major change once it’s gone. I’m trying to stay present but it’s hard.

I’m so happy it turned a happy corner!

Yes!!! Such a roller coaster feeling!!!

Oh my gosh! Its so hard in the beginning isn’t it? So much to learn and discover abt our own bodies! You did and are doing incredible mama! Great job :clap:t4: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
