I wish I can get past the baby blues and FOMO 🦋

Photo of Bougainvillea on the mandatory one walk a day for sanity

I have a one-month old and he’s my first, I love him so much but sometimes I am mourning my old life I had before. I know that this is normal because there has been so much change in such a short period of time. 10 months of your body changing during pregnancy, eating differently, walking differently, carrying a whole human inside of you and now you’re up at 3AM feeding the baby for 7-days a week, months on end (it seems). When your friends and family are enjoying their lives normally. But I tell myself each time, it’s all temporary. :sun_behind_small_cloud:

It’s just a season and you will look back and be like wow that all happened so fast! But I feel you I too mourned and still mourn my old life. I’m so happy to have my new best friend but I constantly think about how crazy it is that not that long ago I was living a completely different existence

Love these flowers. Motherhood is meaningful, and it is okay to take breaks for fresh air and things that bring you joy. You matter too.

The beginning is always hard but i promise you it gets better and some days you will look back and miss those moments. Being a mom is such a blessing that comes with challenges. You are doing so great!

I think about this often it’s something that I don’t think a lot of people talk about out loud!! it’s OK to mourn your previous self

the Bougainvillea is beautiful! I used to have a yellow one. Getting out and walking will definitely help but make sure to take time for yourself even if it is just taking a hot bath. you can’t pour from an empty cup and need to take care of yourself too. I know it is hard but your important too
