Almost all posts are getting quite a few views and very little likes, but a few people. I’m just reading through posts and I go to like one and see there are no likes or very little. I of course like the post but it gave me a yucky feeling in my stomach. Let’s try to still support each other mommas. It’s hard when there is a “like” contest but do we really have any control? I guess if liking content is minimal , then the few that normally win will win anyhow from their friends they have grown to like their posts. Instead let’s grow a community together. I guess I’m saying, can we get back to supporting the way we did before the recent contest started? That’s my wish! Sending out love after I post with some likes!

I couldn’t agree more!!! I’m not the biggest fan of these like contest I just love sharing and seeing others moms stories and it warms my heart!
Also I am confused how some people have like 40 likes and then most have none or very little but that’s ok I’ll send you all the love I’m such a huge fan of this picture you posted please get it framed

Aw, thank you so much. It was one of our milestone pictures. I have my daughter hold him once a month so I can see them both change and then he sat down and put these glasses on and I continued snapping away.
I agree with everything you said, though some of the activities very strange whenever it comes to “like”contest. It’s unfortunate, but I am having fun interacting with everybody and I have to say I really appreciate all of your support.

It is unfortunate and kinda unfair but I’m with you I’ll just have fun and enjoy everyone’s wants and wishes and cute pictures. Like yours that’s such a cute idea! I’m going to have to remember tha for the future! I like how his little cheeks are all squished

The “likes” mechanism was introduced simply as a relatively fair and easy way to structure participation and rewards, but we completely understand how it may sometimes affect the experience.
We’ve heard your feedback, and it really matters to us. We’ll definitely take this into consideration as we think about how to design future activities in a way that better preserves the original spirit of connection, encouragement, and genuine support.

I’ve spent some time thinking through alternatives, and I completely understand the challenge—especially with how easy it is to manipulate engagement today. Here are a few ideas that could still drive strong engagement while keeping things fair:
• Engagement + judging: Use likes/comments to narrow down the top 10–20 entries, then have your team or even a small panel of moms select the winners based on creativity and authenticity.
• Random selection: Every entry that meets the requirements earns an entry, and winners are drawn at random. This keeps it fair while still encouraging participation.
• Qualified voting system: If you’d like to keep likes involved, limit voting to active members only. For example, accounts must have posted at least X times in the past month (or meet a set engagement threshold) to vote. This helps prevent fake or inactive accounts from influencing results.
• Quarterly/longer campaigns: Running contests over a longer period (like 2–3 months) and rewarding overall engagement (posts, comments, etc.) makes it much harder to manipulate compared to short-term like spikes.
• Activity-based winners: Categories like “most qualifying posts” or “most meaningful comments” reward consistent, genuine participation rather than one viral moment.
• Verified engagement only: If likes are used, consider only counting engagement from verified accounts (phone and email verified or tied to a having made a purchase/ in at least level 2 rewards tier). Others can still participate, but their likes wouldn’t count toward totals.
I really believe small tweaks like these could keep the contests fun and engaging while making them feel much more fair for everyone involved.
