Motherhood expands my life by showing me that I can do way more than I thought I could. ![]()
I’ve discovered that I can be a working mom of two, take care of my family, keep working on my career, and somehow keep everything moving… even on those days when I really feel like I can’t do it anymore. ![]()
Being a mom has definitely made me stronger, but it has also taught me that I don’t have to do everything on my own. It’s okay to ask for help. It’s okay to go to therapy. It’s okay to have a bad day and admit that I’m overwhelmed.
I’ve also learned that having time for myself is not selfish. Sometimes I just need a coffee by myself, some quiet time, to go out, listen to music, or do something that has nothing to do with being a mom. And honestly, those little moments help me feel like myself again. ![]()

Motherhood has also changed the way I see my priorities. I’ve learned to set boundaries, say no when I need to, and stop feeling like I have to be everything for everyone.
And probably one of the biggest things I’ve learned is that I can still have my own dreams. Becoming a mom didn’t mean giving up who I was before. I’m still a woman with goals, interests, a career, and things I want to accomplish. My life just looks a little different now, and that’s okay.
Some days I feel like I can handle everything, and other days I’m just trying to survive until bedtime.
But I’m learning to give myself grace either way.
Motherhood didn’t make my world smaller. If anything, it made me realize how much I’m capable of, how important it is to take care of myself too, and how I can build a life where being a mom, having a career, having dreams, and still being me can all exist together. ![]()
