Motherhood expands my life by teaching me that growth does not always look loud, easy, or perfect. Sometimes, it looks like getting through a hard night, making another appointment, asking for help, holding your baby close, and choosing hope again the next morning.
A little update from my last post: my baby recently received her first vaccines. It was such an important milestone, but it also reminded me how deeply motherhood can touch every part of you. Watching your baby go through anything difficult—even a small moment of discomfort—can feel so big in a mother’s heart.
Lately, I have been tired in ways I did not expect: physically tired from the feeds, the wakeups, the appointments, and the endless little tasks; emotionally tired from the worry, the responsibility, and wanting so badly to do everything right. Some days I feel like I am carrying so much. But motherhood has also shown me that I am stronger than I realized.
I am learning to give myself permission to slow down. I am learning that rest is not something I have to earn, that asking for support is a strength, and that I do not have to be perfect to be the right mom for my baby. I am making room for small moments of peace: a warm drink, a shower, a few deep breaths, a quiet cuddle, or simply sitting beside my baby and remembering how far we have come.
Motherhood has expanded my life by changing what I value most. It has made me more compassionate, more patient, more present, and more connected to other moms who understand the parts of this journey that are hard to explain.
To every mom who is physically exhausted, emotionally full, or quietly carrying more than anyone sees: please remember that you are not failing because you are tired. You are human, you are learning, and you are doing something incredibly meaningful
