There are so many big milestones I can’t wait to remember, but it’s the little moments that completely steal my heart.
One of my favorite moments is when my baby looks up at me while he’s nursing. Sometimes he’ll gently hold my breast, other times he’ll play with my hair, and every so often he’ll stop just to lock eyes with me. The way he looks at me with so much love, comfort, and contentment melts my heart every single time.
In those quiet moments, nothing else matters. No notifications, no to-do lists, no laundry waiting to be folded. Just the two of us.
I know these nursing sessions won’t last forever, and one day he’ll no longer need me this way. But I hope I never forget the feeling of those tiny hands, those sweet little eyes looking up at me, and the overwhelming love I feel every time he does.
These are the moments I wish I could bottle up and keep forever.
There really is no feeling in the world like those tiny hands and those sweet, trusting eyes. What a beautiful reminder to slow down and soak in the magic of the quiet moments.
you are so right!!! My husband said the other day, why don’t you just pump? And I said I could, but this is time for Kyle and I together. This is OUR time together … he understands. Today I only nursed twice because he slept so much. I pumped like 5 times or more. I missed it
Congrats to you on your BFing journey. Enjoy every second. It sounds like you are
