Quiet Moments Mean The Most ❤️

When I had my first baby, I was always wondering what came next—the next milestone, the next nap, the next stage.

This time, with Shiloh, I’ve found myself slowing down.

One of my favorite little moments happens almost every day. After she’s done eating, she’ll rest her tiny cheek against my chest, let out the sweetest little sigh, and just… stay there. She doesn’t need anything. She isn’t crying. She simply wants to be close.

It’s such a small moment that most people would never notice, but it’s become my reminder to stop looking ahead and just be here. The little moment I wish I’d known to treasure sooner was simply slowing down. I spent so much time chasing milestones with my first baby that I almost missed the beauty of the ordinary. Now, when Shiloh falls asleep on my chest after a feeding, I remind myself that these quiet moments are the milestone.

After spending time in the NICU, I don’t take those quiet cuddles for granted. Laundry can wait. Dishes can wait. These sleepy snuggles won’t.

If I could tell a new mom one thing, it would be this: don’t worry so much about doing everything “right” that you forget to enjoy the little moments. One day, they’ll be the memories you miss the most. :yellow_heart:

What little moment with your baby do you hope you’ll never forget?

Thank you for sharing! :sparkles: You’re absolutely right!! Everything else can wait. There will always be laundry to fold, dishes to wash & countertops to wipe down. But our babies won’t stay this little for long.

I love this gentle reminder for all mamas to down & soak in the little moments. The cuddles, the tiny details & all the sweet memories that pass by far too quickly. :face_holding_back_tears::brown_heart:

BEAUTIFULLY SAID…..:heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart: welcome momma

A reminder to live for. Welcome mama and thanks for sharing. What a great start :heart_hands:

I have to tell my self this often. Just slow down and enjoy the small things. Thank you for sharing:heart_hands:t4:

This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing, I’m glad you little one is home now and doing better. There’s nothing like the quiet moments!

Also welcome to the community :heart_hands:t3:

The sleepy snuggles are the best!

What a beautifully written sentiment. I think I may be prone to this right now because my twins are my first babies and I don’t know any different. But I want to be more mindful instead of feeling like I’m running around just trying to get the next task or chore done.

Hi! Welcome to the Momcozy community! We’re happy to have you here! :heart:

You are so right! It’s easy to get caught up in the milestones and wake windows, etc that you can miss some really precious moments like that! This is a good reminder to slow down and take in all the little things
