Hi, I’m Marilu! I’m still navigating through what ‘MomAndMore’ means to me. As a working mom, I really enjoy being able to lock in and use my brain. Solving operational challenges and nerding out over reports is where I thrive. Lately, I’m decided to dive into my domestic goddess era, and I’ve been baking bread for our family every week. I might try baking other things, so I’m open to any of your suggestions/recipes.
My story with Momcozy started when I was 32 weeks pregnant and searching for my breast pump. Through Babylist I was able to order the Momcozy M9, which was covered by my insurance. I used the app daily but only started interacting in the FB group and community when I was around 5mo pp. After trying formula once, my son went into anaphylaxis, due to a cows milk protein allergy. I felt so guilty and knew that I had to do my best to produce for him. I learned so much from other mom’s post and questions. Overall, this safe place and all the wonderful moms are a huge reason why I made it to 18 months. Thank you All!!
That is so scary! My 7 month old had a reaction to oatmeal the other day she was projectile vomiting about an hr after she ate it and it was scary seeing her like that. So glad that yall got it figured out and you were able to provide milk For 18 months way to go Momma!
Hi Marilu! Your story is seriously so inspiring. (I LOVE all your pic’s, they really SCREAM ROCKSTAR for me lol.) Going through that experience with your son and still pushing forward with breastfeeding for 18 months is such an incredible accomplishment. It’s amazing how much support and knowledge we can find from other moms who’ve been through similar journeys. And bread every week?! Domestic goddess era is definitely happening! I’d say cinnamon rolls, banana bread, or focaccia should be next!
I’m so sorry to hear about the milk allergy reaction! That’s so scary, and I’m glad everything is okay now! Im glad your were able to pump and provide for him that way. It’s such an accomplishment to pump for 18 months! You go girl!
I bake bread too! I was actually just working on my post for tomorrow, which is all about my bread baking! It is so worth it to bake your own bread. The commercialized bread is just insane with how much bs they put in it.
You baked goods look so so yummy omg!!! I have a recipe for you !! Have you tried cardamom bread with orange cranberry butter listen it’s easy and so good trust me omg
It was scary and I’m just so glad to have gotten through that chapter.
I’m so new to baking but have honestly fallen in love with it. After reading the ingredients a few months ago, I was so disgusted and I’ve committed to making it for us. Yay us!!
