Would you agree with some of these Newborn Skin Care Mistakes? I would say to me they are pretty accurate and good to know. Especially for first time moms that knows nothing about babies. Although this is my first baby of my own. I’m very familiar with babies, toddlers, young children, young adults lol. I love kids so I have a lot of experience. Most likely why I own a daycare lol. We didn’t ignore our babies cradle cap we just didn’t know how to fix it and our pediatrician didn’t help us much, still working on it now
slowly but surely tubby Todd and olive and breatsmild seem to work well
Guurrllll okay so I’m not one to gate keep so lemme tell you I heard so much about using head and shoulders and I did it 2 times with baby Elian and it was GONE!!! Like it was CRAZZYYYY!!! Idk it its safe or not but I gave it a shot and baby is THRIIVINGGGG!! The way I did it was I wet baby boys head, rubbed a good amount on his head, then scrubbed or brushed or whatever with those little soft baby brushes for about a minute or almost 2 and then finally washed it off made sure to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL and not get any into baby’s eyes and I kid you not when his head dried he BARELY HAD ANY CRADLE CAP! It was like it disappeared! I hope yall give it a try it was worth it !
My daughter had cradle cap, and still has a dry scalp at 16 months old. The pediatrician prescribed us this cream at 6 months old that had so many horrible side effects. It wasn’t worth it to me! I tried so many cradle cap shampoos and none of them worked. A couple months ago, I got the shampoo/conditioner and body wash by Everdeen on Amazon. It seems to actually be clearing it up despite it being scented. They have fragrance free, but I got the peach scent. My daughter actually tries to eat the lotion when I put it on her! She smells delicious! I did discover that the mosquitoes also like the peach scent, so we definitely have to put bug spray on her when we go outside(baby safe of course!).
I’m going to have to try this! It has been taking almost a year and a half of me working on my daughter cradle cap, and it’s still there! Thank you!
I’m glad something is working out. Cradle cap can be difficult as it’s different with every child. We used coconut oil for my niece when she had it as a baby and it worked pretty well.
Yes head and shoulders is a really good one for adults. But like you said as long as your super careful and only use a tiny bit on baby it should be fine. They should just make some for babies at this point lol they been out for decades.
Dealing with cradle cap in babies really is a tough cookie, I was telling another mommy we used coconut Oil on my niece hair when she had it and it worked pretty good. And not the mosquitos tries to get to the peach lol, bug spray is great. Mosquito bites are so annoying.
My baby had cradle cap as well. We used a baby cradle cap kit and avocado shampoo.
Okay I’m going to give this a shot because if I’m being honest tubby Todd isn’t doing anything
THANKYOU! the olive oil kinda works but it’s slow
Very good information to know!
I might not go away in the first try. Use it 3-4 times and you will see the change.
I used it 2 times a week for 3 weeks and it was all gone.
I’ll have to try coconut oil too. Thank you! Yeah, she’s reacts pretty badly to mosquito bites. They’re so massive on her!
Okay I just took a screenshot ti remember!! I’ll update you guys thankyou
My pleasure. And welcome to the best community. ![]()

I would imagine. They’re already pretty big on adults. I know they’re 10x worse for the kiddos. Hope the cradle cap goes away soon. ![]()
For my daughters cradle cap we just used coconut oil I just rubbed it on her scalp and let it sit for a little while then I used a baby comb to comb her hair and the flakes came out on the comb without having to scrub then I washed it out and I was so shocked and impressed that it worked. If there were still flakes I repeated the process. It does make their hair look a little greasy but I washed it twice and it helped.
Im learning a lot in the community. Thank you @Momcozy for everything and This blessed opportunity
Thank you!
Yes same with my niece. Worked pretty good. If my son gets it, I’ll be doing the same.
