I could use some help with telling my mother-in-law that I’m not ready for my daughter’s first hair cut. She’s not old enough, and her hair is finally at a length where I can do more than one hairstyle. My daughter does not have the ability yet to follow instruction to turn her head or hold still for a haircut. I don’t want to take the risk of her jerking her head and getting cut. My mother-in-law is so excited about getting her hair cut, and it’s going to be so hard to tell her no.
At the end of the day it is your decision! Sometimes we are going to disappoint others and tell them no when it comes to our children and even though they may have good intentions it’s just you doing what you think is best. That is totally normal and that is ok. There will be plenty of time for her to get her haircut and it’s okay for mom in law to just wait and be patient
This is only your decision!!! Turning 3 in June and no hair cut yet!
Thanks for saying that. I just hate to disappoint a family member, but I definitely do want to wait to get her hair cut. She will have plenty of opportunities to get her hair cut in her life
Exactly and honestly she should be understanding of that and if she’s not she will get over it ![]()
Nothing wrong with that! I don’t understand why some people want to rush it
She wasn’t happy about the news, but she wasn’t mad. Just a little disappointed, and that’s okay. I made my husband talk to her so I didn’t have to disappoint her ![]()
I have been there! Good job husband handling business ![]()
I know right! I’m so glad he did that for me
Me too! I made my partner do something similar recently ![]()
good guys we have
You’re right about that! I’m glad your husband takes the fall for you too! ![]()
Well I was pregnant and it was one of his family members, I didn’t have enough mental energy to help much
That what good husbands are for ![]()
I’m so happy he did!
Me too! ![]()
There is plenty of time for haircuts glad she understood. My MIL made a comment about my son needing a hair cut the other day ![]()
