Honestly, there’s not a lot of preparation you can do for motherhood. There’s books to read and things to try, but all babies are different. The way I prepared for motherhood was mentally. Thought about the possibilities of what was to come and ways to help myself postpartum. Honestly, being more mentally prepared rather than physically prepared helped me a lot.

It is so true that preparing mentally is so very important. Postpartum hormones, lack of sleep, etc can lead to burnout and difficulty regulating yourself. It is easy to go through a whole gamut of feelings especially during that first month. If you could say one thing helped you the most mentally prepare (a book, community group, video, etc) do you mind sharing what was the most helpful?
Every baby truly is different.
