Mom of 4 with a wide age range. 11 yr old male, 9 yr old female, 16 month old female, 2 week old male. First three babies were vaginal births, while my last one was an emergency c-section. The recovery has been a lot harder physically and mentally. However, I can’t just sit on the couch or in bed all day and heal. I’vebeen out of the house for errands or older kid commitments for the last week and it’
s definitely hitting me a lot harder as far as being rested and healing goes. Any tips or tricks to keep the older kids entertained while still taking care of my own health and baby brother?
Welcome to the community we are glad to have you here! I am sorry your recovery has been rough this time around I don’t have any advice about C-section recovery because I have never had one but I will be praying for you momma not being able to get rest and relax to recover is hard. We have 3 and I got back into my routine 4 days postpartum and could definitely feel it later I hope you get much needed rest to be able to recover. Some ideas that you can do with the older ones so you can sit and watch them while they do it is an inside scavenger hunt, play board games together, do a puzzle, my 6 year old daughter and I got a keychain making kit from target and did it together, or they could make a blanket fort and have a movie day In it.
Welcome to the community!!! Gorgeous family. I only have two but I used tv to help me… we don’t watch it much so it was, here, watch ms.rachel for 30 minutes while I feed. I know these first few months are especially hard
Hi! Welcome to the community! Nice to meet you! You have such a beautiful family. I’m really impressed with how much you are doing after having a C-section. That’s a pretty major surgery, and I know I was basically bedridden for the first couple weeks. I know you kind of have to since you have other kids to attend to. You’re such a strong woman! I only have one kid, so I don’t have anything too helpful to suggest. Would your older kids be interested in some water based activities to play in the yard? I’m thinking like a slip’n’slide or sprinklers or a small pool or something?
