Older Mom/Medical Issues Postpartum Tips

I am just gonna start off by saying postpartum is not easy. If you have medical issues like me it could be even harder. I am still recovering. If you can do pelvic floor therapy it does help. It will take time. Make sure to do your exercises! It will be hard just make a few minutes for it. You body will thank you.

Freshly postpartum, please use your support system so you can rest, if possible of course. Unfortunately, my husband had to go back to work a few days after our daughter was born. It made things a bit tougher and rest nonexistent.

Older moms, again like having medical issues it will take time to bounce back or get close to a new normal. Thank your body for what it has gone through and given you. You’ve got this! Take it one day at a time!

Please don’t compare your postpartum journey to another’s because no one will have the same journey.

My husband also had to go back to work really quickly after my first I had the baby we got out of the hospital and he went back to work on Monday so we only had the weekend. Second baby he did take a whole week off and that felt like a miracle.

At that time my hubby hadn’t been at this job a year so he didn’t have leave yet. He didn’t hit that mark till dec and I had her is September

The first few weeks without support or help is rough! Out of 5 of my kids I had support throughout the newborn stage only once and i felt like I could actually focus on my recovery that time around. I felt like I could take on the world :joy:
