Sleepless nights

Welcome, Jini! :heart_hands:t3:

Honestly, after going through three pregnancies in different seasons, each one was completely different. One thing they all had in common, though, was that I overheated so easily. I had to keep the room super cold but still sleep with a bunch of blankets and pillows because they made me feel comfortable and supported.

I also turned everything off, played white noise and kept my phone on the other side of the room so I wasn’t tempted to scroll allll night. It definitely wasn’t a perfect solution, but creating a cool, cozy, distraction free space made it much easier for me to fall asleep.

I try to take it one day at a time and try to rest when I can and coffee helps. Do you have someone that could come over and help with the baby while you nap for a little while?

Take it one step at a time, lean on your partner if you can, try to nap during the day (normally not possible) , eat!! , it does get better. These are the trenches mamma, but you got it!!

I’m still dealing with sleepless nights (every 1-2 hours waking up to nurse) and my daughter is almost 18 months old. Believe it or not, your body gets used to these odd sleeping patterns for the most part after a few months. What saves me is 2 cups of coffee in the morning. If we have a really bad night, I take a nap during the day.

What’s working for me is having my husband give a bottle when the baby wakes up after I just got up to pump. I also leave my pumped milk to take downstairs for the morning and bought extra pump parts so I’m not worried about cleaning the over night set! That’s all for pumping of course.

Other things that help…coffee of course! Make sure you’re taking the right prenatal with all the B vitamins, calcium and magnesium! Exercise sounds counterproductive but it does give you more energy.. eventually. And then most importantly, don’t be afraid to say no to things that you can. Obviously you’re taking care of your baby but say no to gatherings you don’t feel up to, visits, drama or any other situations that drain you or you just simply are not feeling!

Take it day by day love. What helped is don’t worry about the mess or cleaning up or getting a routine. Literally try to rest when baby is resting or sleep. And if you can ask for help love. Even if it for 30 min to an hour so you can get some rest. It does get better!!

Hi mama! Welcome! I have a lot of sleepless night, I just have to remind myself that they are only little once. This phase will pass and I will miss it one day. I take it day by day. Lots of coffee and espresso shots

Just remember you are doing the best you can and it is okay to set baby down and step away to collect yourself!

Hey mama I just put the sound machine and hoped for the best when some nights we’re bad I’d watch a movie to stay awake. The swaddles helped at the very beginning but then quickly he learned how to break out

I wish I had better advice for you
