So, I just recently had my 6 week postpartum appointment. My husband kept our daughter so I could run out to this appointment. As soon as I left the house I just wanted to rush back to make sure she was okay. This is only the third time I’ve left her and I feel so unsettled without her close by. After leaving the doctor’s, I remembered my favorite bakery is close by and what better way to celebrate the end of my pregnancy, labor and delivery, the last of my doctors appointments (for now) than with a little treat. I felt guilty at first for not running straight home but I realized that she is fine and completely safe with her dad and chose to drive the few extra miles in the opposite direction to celebrate ME. #ChooseYouToo #IChooseMe

I had gestational diabetes and just wanted a donut the entire time I was pregnant with my 1st baby after having her a friend and I went to a donut shop and I couldn’t decide and accidentally spent $40 on donuts 
it was an Amish Bakery in Ohio and they had huge donuts called wagon wheels. when my husband got home from work he just laughed at me and we ate donuts for days I even sent some to work with him for his coworkers.

I totally understand this feeling! I’ve had to be away from my daughter once for jury duty, and it was so hard. I swear I could sense an invisible umbilical cord connecting me to her the entire time, and that’s how I knew she was fine. I still went back home as quickly as I could. I’m glad you took the time to treat yourself. Those cupcakes look soooo delicious!
