What truly pushes me to do this is the reality of my biggest pet peeve. Which is wasting even a single drop of breast milk. No matter how exhausted I am, if she’s nursing, I’m getting up to pump too. The second she stimulates a letdown, my milk just flows.
I’d rather be tired and empty than tired and completely soaked. Every ounce counts & for me, it’s worth the extra effort.
I know that’s not the reality for some. But for me I tend to be really hard on myself. I also learned to not fight myself with it, I just do it. I remind myself that this is temporary and all of this will be missed once it becomes just a memory.
I’ve found that to be so helpful! Right now it’s very hard for me to pump and feed at the same time, I’m excited to have my wearable pump and make this process easier.
I feel you! I was pretty hard on myself in the beginning. It got better around 12 months. I was able to let go a bit and not worry so much about supply
Oh yay! I hope you share your experience with it & I hope you love it. My spectra is honestly my ride or die during my menstrual cycles for power pumping
