As much as I am disliking these 100 degree days, we sure will miss playing on the splash pad whenever the weather starts getting cooler. It feels like summer will never end, but it will be Fall before we know it. I’m going to have to figure out some outdoor fall and winter activities to do with my toddler since she likes being outside so much. Any ideas?

We are planning on taking our daughter to a petting zoo because she seems to have an interest in animals

I know right?! I ask her to point out each one, and she knows them all by name and is trying to say them herself. The hardest one right now is the word “fish”. She keeps calling it B.

She’s crazy about farm animals actually! We tried a petting zoo early this summer, and surprisingly, she wasn’t interested in the animals. We are going to try going to the zoo in October when we go on vacation. The zoo in Houston, TX is massive, so surely there will be something that interests her

That’s great! Kinetic sand is amazing but makes a huge mess. You can also do cornstarch and conditioner. There are so many sensory options to use too!

I actually don’t live far from the Houston zoo, but I’m waiting to do outdoor activities until the fall because the heat is unbearable here
