Ohhhh that is so cool!!! I want a big garden.
Me! Oh my gosh I can totally relate to this! My poor plants. It’s hard to keep up though! This is just one corner and they definitely need some TLC
Ugh, I hate those darn fungus gnats! The only way I’ve been able to get rid of them successfully is like what you did. Just let the soil dry out completely and hope your plant survives. I’m too cheap to buy new soil and repot my plants most of the time…unless it’s one of my favorites
I love your setup! They look great to me!
I never knew that would help so I’m trying it next time!
Girl I need to take a screenshot we have had three different Venus fly traps and they all died !!! What are we doing wrong because I love carnivorous plants and I need to be successful with them
I experienced the same thing every time I purchased Venus fly traps the last few years. This year I did something different. I bought a dormant Venus fly trap from Home Depot. When they’re dormant, they are basically dried up roots or something…I don’t know exactly how they do it. Anyways, you plant the dormant Venus fly trap with the soil it comes with and they sprout within 3 weeks. I put mine on a heat mat and under grow lights. You can only water them with distilled water though. Tap water will kill them. This is the first time I’ve ever had one successful and I am so proud! I can’t tell you how much money I’ve wasted on live ones for them to just die within a few weeks. I think the shock of changing environments kills them. I have no idea why live ones are so finicky. Mine catches little fungus gnats all the time and I get so excited!
Love this!
But wow…. That is so gorgeous!! You have a lot plants to give love to!!! Loveeeee it!
Your plant lady skills will definitely come back soon! You just have different priorities right now, and it’s totally okay to put the kids before the plants. Don’t be too hard on yourself, mama, you’re doing great! ![]()
