Swirling breast milk? A myth?

I thought about this the other day. I’ve heard you’re not ‘supposed’ to shake breast milk. Is that true? I’m no longer combo feeding so shaking isn’t necessary. I’ve just heard that it causes the breast milk to break down when you shake it?

I swirled it because shaking causes bubbles and could cause gas and pain from gas in the tummy of the baby.

You are welcome. I think I figured that out the hard way. lol. My baby is 15 months now and when she drinks through a straw or from a sippy cup, I try to make sure she doesn’t suck too much air. It still bothers her.
