OneWishADay I wish it was easier to take a nice hot shower. Before having my baby I never thought twice about what a luxury it is to hop in the shower and enjoy the steamy heat while I get sudsy and clean. Nothing beats it! Now I have to wait until my husband gets home from work so I can enjoy a real shower without feeling guilty about leaving my son unattended for too long. Self care is important, but now my priority is baby getting a bath rather than scrubbing my own underarms.

You could bring baby in the shower with you. You can wash most of yourself one handed, and baby isn’t as slick as you might think. Then again, it’s not going to be a very hot shower, but we can at least get the stink stank off

You know, that’s such a good idea! I’ve been wanting to try it but I’m so nervous. You just encouraged me to try it! Or maybe a bath instead of a shower. Then I’ll just have to keep his head above water but maybe he can lay on me.

Taking a shower feels like I’m going to a fancy spa now n days never thought that was a thing

That’s how I started out was doing baths together at around 2 months old. I got tired of using the baby bathtub because it was so awkward and hard on my back. There’s those baby bath seats to use when they can sit up, and they work great! There’s even room to get in the tub with them. I just started doing showers together in the last month, and I wish I had started sooner. I started out holding her the entire shower. Now I sit with her in the bottom of the tub and use one of those hose shower heads while we shower. I was afraid to do a shower with her for so long! Now we mostly do showers instead of baths!
