3rd Trimester Swelling

Something I wish someone had told me about during pregnancy is the 3rd trimester swelling. I kind of knew a tad bit but whew! In the morning I can barely make a fist my hands be super swole and hurt to close. Then my feet get so bad by the end of the night. I think socks make it worse, but I don’t have ankles anymore lol. I’m just glad it’s no pain. And I do keep up with my blood pressure just to triple check because I know about preeclampsia. But no just regular 3rd trimester swelling. Had to crop my toes out because I need a pedicure and not getting one til Monday so it’s fresh for my baby shower lol. Pictures don’t do justice, I swear it’s worse in person lol. whatiwishiknew

Yes I had it so bad although I did have preeclampsia. What helped was soaking my hands and feet if you can

i never knew about swelling until l seen other moms posting it in my due date group with my first baby

I would try some epson salt in warm water and just soak! If your feet hurt you can roll a frozen water bottle with the bottom of your foot!

Oh my gosh same! It’s so scary and uncomfortable and there comes a point where staying hydrated is t enough. I remember having days where my skin felt so stretched out… Hope you get some relief and some much needed rest and relaxation!

Oh man. I feel you. I had it so bad with my first. It was from the heat. If you live somewhere warm, Soak in cool water. That’s what helped mine.

Honestly funny you mentioned that, last night I was thinking about putting some on during the day, I have a few pairs of compression socks. I should’ve worn some today, it was a bit cloudy. It’s just been so hot and they come up to my knees lol.
