My c-section is scheduled for April 27th and i’m finishing packing up my hospital bag, what are some must haves for c-section mommas?

I overpacked my hospital bag for my c-section. You really only need your phone, some hair ties, some snacks, and some footed onesies for your baby (Id bring 8). You will likely be in the hospital for 3 days. The hospital provides diapers and wipes, and all baby items except clothes. You won’t need any clothing for yourself except whatever you’re wearing home. A portable fan was nice to have. Also, hospital underwear and pads are uncomfortable, so it would’ve been nice to have the Fridamom underwear and pads(I got these once I got home from the hospital and was sooo much more comfortable.)
Highwaisted padded underwear. I loved the always discrete ones.

You’ll definitely want underwear that sits above your incision. Disposable ones are really nice so you can just throw them away and not stress about washing. The hospital will provide what you need, so don’t be shy to ask. But if you have a brand you love, go for it. Comfort is everything after surgery. Whether you use theirs or bring your own high waisted underwear, it’s totally up to you. Also bring loose comfy clothes or a nightgown for your stay and going home.
For baby, just a going home outfit. I’d bring two sizes just in case. If you plan to breastfeed or pump, pack a nursing bra, Momcozy nipple cream I just love it lol, and your pump if you prefer your own. Bring a swaddle too if you like using your own.
Extras that help, a power bank or super long charger, snacks you actually like since hospital food timing can be off, a folder for paperwork, and maybe a little makeup or something.. only if you like ofcourse. And just take the pain meds, everything is just painful af. Lastly, if you’re thinking about silicone tape for your C section scar, you can usually start after a week or two but ask your OB first to be sure. And see if you’re gonna need one.

I packed high-waist underwear and a pillow for the car ride home. Those two things helped me the most.
