Before becoming a humnan mamma, I was the dog mom. I loved my four legged kiddos but I’m not able to give myself the way used to. I so hope one day I can again. Still here and still loving them, but just spread out more. Anyone else feel bad they have to be divided more and can’t give as much love to their pets?
That time I threw a dog party and made all the treats.
Hi Barb! Your pup is so cute! I love all of the dog treats did you make them?
I resonate with this post because I also was a dog mom before becoming a mom to a human. I feel so exhausted most days that I don’t give the same energy to my dogs that I used to.
First of all, fellow boxer mom… I had a white one and a brindle one but lost both to cancer before my kids were born. Second, YOURE INCREDIBLE!!! Applause to you mom wow. You’re simply amazing.
Also my dogs are bottom of the totem pole these days. They still get spoiled with table food but they do not get the attention they once did. I feel bad about it for sure but they are loved and fed and NOT in a shelter…!!!
That’s amazing! Your dog is spoiled! I love it! We have a fur baby too. He definitely got more attention before kids. Now the kids give him the attention tho.
Oh my goodness! I absolutely love this! I was a totally dog mom before having my daughter. My dogs were my livelihood! Since my daughter was born, my 2 dog babies have been staying at our property out in the country without us. It’s been so hard!
I can relate! We have two cats that would always sleep with us in our bedroom. When we brought baby home we had to start kicking them out because we had heard so many horror stories of cats accidentally smothering babies… We try to love on our fur-babies as much as possible, but we do still feel guilty sometimes.
Your boxer is adorable! We have a boxer shar pei mix and I totally understand what you mean. Sometimes I’m just so exhausted and give his head a few kisses before bed. Lately, I’ve started to walk him in the morning so he gets some more mama time.
Omg what a lucky pup, that is the absolutely cutest! Lol. I’m in the same boat. I haven’t seen my lil yorkie baby since a week before I gave birth. I’m so eager to see how he’s going to act when he comes home and it’s a new baby here. I just know I won’t be able to tend to him as much as I would before when it was only us. Kind of scared for when he comes back, but will eventually adjust to our new normal.
