Chest pain

Hi moms!!

Do you know what I can apply to my nipples to ease the pain while my baby gets a good latch? And on another note, my arms and shoulders  are really hurting me, any remedies? Thanks :people_hugging:

Nipple cream, coconut oil, you can also get pumping sprays too

Hi, make sure you have correct flange size. Lanolin nipple cream helped me with cracked nipples. You can also apply some breastmilk, it’s soothing. If your chest pain is because of engorgement then try warm compress and cold compress post pumping. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much :people_hugging:

Do you have a nursing pillow? It would really help your arms and shoulders when you are feeding your baby, even if youre bottle feeding. Momcozy makes a really good nursing pillow. I have one and it has been such a blessing!

I’ve been using olive oil for pumping and before baby latches. I also got the Comfortnip which is a wonderful smell and a cool to the touch applicator tip

The Momcozy nipple cream helped me a lot. Do you have a nursing pillow that you use? It could help with the shoulder and arm pain.

I’ll give it a try, thanks :people_hugging:

If your nipples are damaged you could use the silverettes  very good for healing

Coconut oil for pumping and latching! Warm salt water rinses multiple times a day in between pumping and feeding sessions especially if you have cracked nipples! Applying your milk to nipples and allowing to air dry helps as well! Chiropractor for neck, and shoulder pain, and a breastfeeding pillow to help support you and baby during feeding sessions to help not be sore!
