Good Try!

My daughter is going through some serious teething pain this week. I believe her molars are coming in. When she woke up to nurse at 2am, she couldn’t get comfortable. She kept twisting and kicking and nursing for two hours and I was getting frustrated. I was crying because I was just so tired. I asked my husband to try since he was awake in the other room. He rocked her for several minutes and she just started fighting him hard trying to escape his hold. He brought her to me in the bed and we laid in bed with her in between us. She nursed for like two seconds and realized where she was. Suddenly it was playtime and she was bouncing around and standing up. I got up and rocked her another 30 minutes in my chair until she finally fell asleep. When she got up for the day at 6:30am, my husband got up with her this time so I could sleep in. I slept until 9am and it was soooo nice!!! I wish he could help takeover at night though. My daughter just thinks Daddy = playtime!

Teething is no joke! I’m glad he was able to help and you got to sleep in.

I just wish there was something I could do for her in the night when she has teething pain. For some reason she won’t take Tylenol after she’s gone to bed.

Does she use a pacifier? They have one that you can put the syringe in and do medicine that way. I had to do that with my son and it worked

That sounds about right! My girl is usually getting up for the day at 6am. I like waking up with her because that’s when it’s easiest to teach her things and do her learning activities. I just wish it wasn’t so dang early!

She’s one of those rare ones who won’t take a pacifier unfortunately! She will use one as a chew toy though. I wish she would use something like that! I got her this thing that resembles a pacifier that she loves to chew on. She prefers to chew the metal end of the pacifier clip actually :woman_facepalming:t2:

I wish she’d use one!

My others didnt really use one either. My 1st sucked her thumb and that was a hard habit to break!

I’ve noticed my daughter sucking her thumb here recently! I really hope it doesn’t become a habit
