My daughter is four month old and easily get distracted while breastfeeding. Any good tips? I’ve already put her into quiet and less stimulating environment. Seeking for good advices here.
I don’t have much advice but it is normal. I just keep latching and def no tv or phone near
We are going through that right now too she is too nosy to eat.
Unfortunately it can be pretty normal. I can only breastfeed my son in his room with sound machine and lights out now
I went through that with mine, and it’s normal. They’re noticing things around them a lot more at 4 months old. One thing you could try is giving her a toy or stuffed animal to play with while she nurses. I do that with mine still at 18 months, and it helps
Stuffed animal sounds like a great idea
thank you!
Our pediatrician told me to make it as boring as possible lol. My nugget is the same way, easily distracted while nursing and wants to know everything that’s going on. She said a quiet dark place but it still doesn’t make much of a difference. I keep an eye on the time since his last feed. I’m finding that now that he’s a little older he can go slightly longer between feeds. This helped because I’m catching him when he’s hungry and not just when the clock says it’s time to eat. Check with your doctor to see how long she can go between feeds and try spacing them out a little longer.
What helps with me is covering her eyes. If she sees me all she wants to do is smile instead of eat. So I put my hands over her eyes and that helps her get a full meal
