Hi everyone my name is Cynsere you say it like sincere and honestly after becoming a mom I think I kinda lost my hobbies and passions. It’s like I don’t feel like I got time for them. Like I use to do puzzles all the time. I was always caught up with all the marvel movies and all my anime shows. And since becoming a mom I kinda just fell off on everything.
And I love being a mom and loving my babies but I think it’s time to find me again
So something I always wanted to do was learn to draw and paint. I’m homeschooling my 9 year old this year and I’m thinking about putting us both in an art class to learn together. And during the day instead of us always watching ms Rachael or Disney or our kids shows I might start putting on a marvel movie or my anime shows idk yet!
It’s something truly honest. Hobbies take a back seat, but it’s only temporary. Once your children grow up, you’ll have more time for your hobbies. Keep it up—you’re doing a great job right now.
I know Wendy you mean! It’s so hard to get back into my hobbies too. Then when I do have time, I’m too exhausted to even do them. I just end up going down YouTube rabbit holes during nap time lol. It would be so much fun to learn to draw and paint. You should totally sign up for that class!
Oh I love that so much and don’t worry mama it’s easy to get busy but just know you haven’t lost your hobbies your just developing new ones and learning to paint will be an excellent one trust me I adore painting !!! Hahaha there are some amazing videos on YouTube on landscape watercolors if your ever interested in that because for me learning to paint landscapes have been a way I take a piece of what I’m experiencing outside and nature home with me almost like a memory from my eyes ahah
Your post is so honest and real, feeling like you lost your identity outside of mom life is something so many of us experience. Learning art alongside your 9-year-old for homeschool sounds like such an amazing way to reconnect with your creative side while spending quality time together! That’s so cool!! Great job momma. Love the homeschooling and love that you wanna show your 9 yr old your hobbies! it’s ok to feel like you lost all your hobbies. I have too to be honest. I think that’s just the way of life and nothing to be ashamed of. I’ve honestly wanted to say that out loud(I’ve lost all time for my hobbies and myself) and you’ve given me the courage to do so!!
So right now I’m rewatching attack on titans, but I’m wanting to catch up with jjk and classroom of the elite. And then I’m so late because I literally just finished my hero. I told my self imma try to watch one episode a day or one marvel movie a day. Right now it looks like my toddler is into marvel and my oldest is into anime!!
Yes most definitely find time. I came to the realization to that I kept saying I don’t have time. But not everything has to be for the kids. I also think it’s good to show our kids our hobbies bc who knows they might like it also. You are doing great mom one day we will find the time again!!
