This may be an uncommon topic, but I think it’s worthwhile to mention.
One thing that made baby bath time much less stressful for me was getting everything ready before putting my baby in her bath tub.
I thought it is not a difficult thing until I suddenly holding a wet, slippery baby!
And then you don’t have chance to get anything else that you didn’t get ready before bath because you need hold your baby.
So before bath time, I like to have everything within arm’s reach:
Towel
Clean diaper
Clean pajamas
Washcloth
Baby soap
Hair and body brush (See the photo, I really love the Momcozy one!! It is so soft and my baby loves it)
Diaper cream
I also make sure the room is comfortably warm and check the water before putting my baby in (I put a bath thermometer in her bath tub, and it also works as a toy haha!) I also close the window (if it’s windy or cold outside) and fan.
To wash hair, I saw someone using peri bottle
I use this strategy and it works well!
The important rule is never leave the baby unattended in the bath, even for a second. If I realize I’ve forgotten something, I take my baby with me or ask partner to bring it to me rather than stepping away.
Comment if you have other good idea for a smoother bath~
Also, let me know how often you guys have bath time with your baby?
