Thank you! That’s good to know, I will have to look into getting some of those
Patience. It’s a hard journey. Some learn fast but mine took about a year. Travel potty definitely a must.
What finally did the trick for us was getting her “silky” underwear. She literally figured it out in one day after that change. Coincidence or maybe it was them!
Pls let us know when you find the best method
Yes. That’s how mines was at that age too. I kept getting frustrated so decided to wait until the 22 month. That age worked great for us! But honestly just consistency. I just didn’t have the patience at that time lol
I felt this! We do diaper over underwear for long trips and go potty every stop with limited drinks in car. I ask if they need to sue the bathroom very often. Once there watch how much you offer fluids and try to potty every 20 minutes after and so on
I have this, whereyou put the plastic inside to catch the number 1 and 2 but we never used it because my kids likes to thug it.. we stop somewhere bushy lollll sorry no help here either ![]()

Do what you gotta do. Definitely don’t put diapers back. Lots of extra clothing is all I can say. And maybe bring your own or ladder if she’s like to use the real potty but can’t reach it and want her own privacy. Best of love! ![]()
After a couple weeks using training pants, 9 time out of 10 she pees in them and says pee pee. So she knows when she’s peeing, but having a hard time getting to the potty in time, even though I have it close by. I think I’m going to switch back to regular pull ups over the training pants for awhile since she notices she’s going in those too now. What are silky panties? Like as in panties made of silk?
So far the 3 day method didn’t work. It was chaos!
I’m trying pull ups over training pants for now. We’ll see how that goes
It really is! I feel like I’m patient, but I’m tired of my daughter being covered in pee almost every time. It can’t be good for her skin (or my carpet lol). I decided to switch to using pull-ups over the training pants for now. She still notices when she’s going, which is good.
Thank you, I’ll give that a try. This is such good advice!
That is such a cute potty!! My daughter would love the dog! I just decided to switch to pull ups over the training pants for now since she rarely makes it to the potty. She at least notices when she’s going so that’s a start. I don’t think I want to deal with the mess clean up right now
lol so my first few days. I followed her with a potty bc I too have carpet. I also felt like at that age she didn’t have the nerves yet or development to understand when she had to go/ hold her pee. Because she would run to the potty after already peeing lol so there would be a trail a pee to the potty. But anyways at 22 months the first few days I just followed her with the potty I think on the third day I left it in one spot. We are usually in the play room so just left it in one spot and see what she did ( I also did the completely naked) after a few days with that I introduced panties. So she would use the potty but forget that she was wearing panties so it took a few days to realize okay we gotta take painted off before potting. And then after that I moved potty to the bathroom and those days we had the most accidents just cause she would wait to the last minute to go lol but now no accidents. She does go a little tingle in her panties here and there but she’s still young so it makes since. I’m trying to see how to get her to stop that. But that was my process. And then again she had peed in the dr office on herself but I think bc she didn’t realize they had bathrooms to so now I always tell her where the bathroom is and remind her to tell me when she has to go. I hope this helps!!!
That’s what’s happening here. She will run to sit on the potty after already going. I’ll have to try again in a few months. I think I’ll try the naked thing like you suggested. Good idea to point out where bathrooms are when you are out in public. Thank you for your advice!
